Medicinal cannabis is cannabis prescribed to relieve the symptoms of a medical condition. The key chemicals found in cannabis are cannabinoids, the two most common being cannabidiol (CBD), which acts within the body and tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), which interacts with receptors in the brain.
